Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya is a system of central government schools under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The system came into existence in 1962 with the name “Kendriya Vidyalaya” and is affiliated to CBSE since then. Later it was renamed as Kendriya Vidyalaya. Kendriya Vidyalaya Bhurkunda was closed in the year 2008 and was reopened on 01.07.2010 with the order of Hon’ble High Court Ranchi. The Vidyalaya is running in temporary accommodation (old General Manager Office) at NTS, Barkakana.
